The Beggining
We first met our client at the Alameda County Flower & Garden Show, where she visited our display in Pinole. She shared that after watching many Aquascape pond videos, she had hired a contractor to build something similar. Unfortunately, the result lacked both the natural feel and artistic detail she envisioned. The difficult part was explaining that there was little worth saving. In the end, the best path forward was a complete redesign and rebuild.
The Challenge
Access was the biggest challenge on this pondless waterfall project. Before construction could begin, we had to build a temporary ramp to safely bring our equipment into the backyard. Once access was established and materials were staged, our team at Aquascape Creations began building the custom pondless waterfall. With the hard part solved, the real transformation of the space could finally begin.
Our solution
To meet these goals, we applied strategic, practical solutions.
- Retaining Walls
We built retaining walls to stabilize the hillside and improve this pondless waterfall project. This allowed us to create usable backyard space while adding structural support.
- Landscaping & Irrigation
Landscape and irrigation upgrades were added to enhance the pondless waterfall, ensuring proper water distribution, healthy plants, and a balanced outdoor space.
- 2 Pumps for extra flow
We installed a dual pump system, allowing our client to control the pondless waterfall from a quiet, subtle flow to a powerful, impressive display.
- Ramp access
We modified part of the existing patio to improve accessibility, creating a smoother and safer path for easier movement throughout the space.
